Uber is expanding its trial of self-driving cars
Uber is expanding its trial of self-driving cars, which if successful, puts the start-up giant one step closer to destroying some of the more than one million jobs it says it created by disrupting taxi monopolies around the world.
Uber has partnered with a car marker to develop its own autonomous car – a Volvo XC90s.
The ride-sharing company says driverless cars wont' happen tomorrow but shouldn't be written off as a viable mode of transport.
"While it won't happen overnight, self-driving will be an important part of the future of transportation—a future we're excited about," the company said in a blog.
