At the October 2011 Board meeting the IFME Board discussed the proposal that IFME form a Global Network of Asset Management Groups, to be known as gNAMS (ie Global NAMS). The Board decided to proceed with forming this group with Chris Champion (Australia) as Convenor. See more details at www.ifmeworld.info/gnams.

The 2012 IFME World Congress presentation sessions were held at Finlandia Hall in Helsinki over the period 4-6 June. Presenters from many countries spoke on a wide range of topics. On 7 June delegates were hosted in Tallinn for the day. During this visit the IFME delegates performed as the 'IFME Choir' at the song festival grounds.The conference wrapped up with a technical tour of Stockholm on 9 June, where many major works are planned.
