IFME meets with Polish Association [PZiTB] in Poland

In October 2023 Pieter Wiekeraad, Treasurer IFME met with Mr. Andrzej Drewiecki in Krakow, Poland.

Together they discussed the possibilities of having the Polish Association on Civil Engineering participate in IFME. 

IFME representatives post met Andrzej Drewiecki in San Diego at the PWX2023 of APWA as a new good contact with Poland.

Andrzej is very determined to get Poland involved in IFME and the international network of civil engineers.

Together Pieter and Andrzej prepared a roadmap for Poland to engage with IFME. The first step is that Andrzej has become an individual member of IFME as possible under our constitution. We look forward to having Andrzej join us in our General Board of Directors and very much welcome him. We also look forward to welcoming the Polish Association PZiTB as next step.

Getting new members acquainted in our Federation increases the opportunity to grow our network as identified in our strategy decided on in Rome 2022.

Hopefully we can enjoy a paper from Andrzej on behalf of the Polish association during our Future Green Cities Conference in September 2024 in Utrecht, The Netherlands being organised by the Royal Association Stadswerk The Netherlands, the IFME and World Urban Parks.
