We wanted to create our own award series for China, because the projects carried out there are so large in scale and impact, said Ville Alatyppö, Executive Director of SKTY, who also serves as the Chairman of the International Association of Municipalities and Local Authorities (IFME) for the years 2024-2027. China is home to 20% of the world's population, so the activities carried out there have an impact on the entire world. Ville Alatyppö says that he noticed during his trip to China last December how things have progressed tremendously there.
The awards were presented by IFME board member and chair of this session, Pieter Wiekeraad from the Netherlands, and Ville Alatyppö ( main photo ).
