Dear WFEO Members and IFME Associates,
Our Associate the World Geospatial Industry Council has set up an online survey that will help develop a policy paper on the research about digital twins technologies.
If you are involved in projects or industries that involve digital twins, or if you are doing research or developing technologies in a related area, your inputs will be welcome. The survey will take you approx. 15 minutes.
You can find out more in the attached flyer, and answer the survey at https://s.surveyanyplace.com/zfiuwsst
This study is a natural extension of the collaborative white paper of WGIC, WFEO and UN-GGIM during 2020 on integrated geospatial and BIM for resilient infrastructure.
With the digital transformation in many areas such as Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, City Management, Facility Management, etc., we are seeing a lot of proliferation of digital spatial technologies that assist in creating digital twins. We are also seeing the arrival of the concepts of digital twins at national levels to manage natural and commercial resources better.
Geospatial technologies play a critical role in the management of SDGs.
WGIC, in the framework of the COP26, at the UNFCCC Earth Information Day, has released a new report on Monitoring GHG gases from space using satellites that talks about current and future capabilities from Public, Private and Hybrid missions.
Here is the link to the report.
We are looking forward to your participation in this survey.
With kind regards,
Théophane Bélaud
